Ryan Feit – CEO & CoFounder, SeedInvest
Ryan co-founded SeedInvest because he saw the need for a better way to connect entrepreneurs and investors. On the entrepreneurial side, Ryan previously founded multiple startups. On the investor side, Ryan worked at Carlson Capital, Wellspring Capital Management
and Lehman Brothers in New York City where he invested in, financed and managed dozens of private and public businesses. Prior to the passage of the JOBS Act, Ryan supported The Startup Exemption, the nonprofit responsible for bringing the concept of Equity Crowdfunding to Washington, DC. Ryan co-founded the Crowdfunding Professional Association and currently serves as an Executive Board Member and the Co-Chair of the Education and Training Committee. Ryan also serves as a Board Member of the Crowdfund Intermediary Regulatory Advocates group and as a Co-Chair of the Crowdfund Portals Committee. Whenever given the chance, Ryan enjoys traveling and has been to 77 countries. Ryan received an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.Merril is an inventor and serial entrepreneur. He is currently developing and commercializing impact sensors for sports concussion management as the founding CEO of Brain Sentry, Inc. He served as founding CEO for two previous VC-backed fast growth wellness and medical product companies. At HT Medical Systems Mr. Merril invented and successfully commercialized computer-based simulators for surgical training.
Doug Ellenoff, Esq. – Crowdfunding/Transactions & Corporate Financings
Douglas S. Ellenoff, Esq. is a member of Ellenoff Grossman & Schole, LLP, a 60 lawyer New York-based firm, Douglas S. Ellenoff, a member of the Firm since its founding in 1992, is a corporate and securities attorney with a specialty in business transactions and corporate financings. Mr. Ellenoff and the rest of the corporate department distinguish themselves from many other transactional lawyers on the basis of their ability to be part of the establishment of new securities programs, like PIPEs, SPACs, Registered Directs, Reverse Mergers and CrowdFunding, where the Firms professionals have played leadership roles within each of those industries, assisting in the creation, formation and strategies relating to those financings, as well as working closely with the regulatory agencies; including the SEC and FINRA; and the listing exchanges – AMEX and NASDAQ. The Firm is actively engaged with clients (funding portals, broker-dealers, technology solution providers, software
developers, investors and entrepreneurs). In cooperation with the industry trade association, the Firm is discussing what level of regulatory review and monitoring is appropriate by the SEC and FINRA in balancing the interests of the program with investor protection. Robert L. Greene (Bob) is an accomplished business executive, investment professional, public servant, and philanthropist with deep expertise and broad experience at transforming opportunities into successes! Bob is a Principal with Syncom Venture Partners; a leading venture capital firm focused on multistage equity investments in high growth segments of the Media & Communications industry. Bob leads Syncom’s Investor Relations and Business Development efforts. He is responsible for maintaining and expanding the firm’s relationships with its 32 limited partners, and targeting institutional investors for future investment with the firm. He also supports the growth of the firm’s portfolio companies by planning and executing strategies to generate top line revenues and strategic relationships. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia. He served as President of the Student Government (1990-’91) and was a recipient of numerous awards including the university’s Distinguished Service Award. Upon graduating from VCU, Bob was appointed to the highly coveted Virginia Governor’s Fellows Program, serving in the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia. Bob holds lifetime memberships in The Marathon Club for Entrepreneurship, National Eagle Scout Association, National INROADS Alumni Association, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

How to Prepare for Crowdfunding: Secrets of the Capital Raise
SeedInvest is an equity-based, crowdfunding platform that connects accredited investors to high-quality start-ups and small businesses seeking funding. This workshop teaches a proven method for creating a winning investor presentation—a formal 10-minute narrative supported by slides and given to angels or VC’s in private meetings or at venture fairs. The objective of the workshop is to provide you the summary of the investment merits of your company so compelling that investors want to know more. The goal is to be invited back for a “second meeting.” The ultimate goal is to get funded.
